If the long-awaited Remaster Diablo 2: Resurrected appears, it will not offer “only” completely new 3D graphics and some comfort features. Also, the iconic intermediate sequences gave a fresh cell cure: Blizzard has rendered all videos from the ground up to new, that is, purely visually the movies are brand new, so the old material was not just highly scaled, as you know it from many other Remaster versions. The whole rest remains but get: music, speaker, cut, camera angle – everything is almost identical to the 21-year-old original game. After there was a tiny taste of the new videos in the first trailer, there’s now the full program: Just before the start of the Open Beta, Blizzard has published the first two render videos, including the intro (act 1: the hidden eye) and the video To act 2 (the secret of Vizjerei). Both videos we have linked here for you in the German version.

Diablo 2 resurrected: How well do the intermediate sequences look like?

Diablo 2: Resurrected comes with a few nice comfort improvements in the luggage, for example an item comparison, a larger booty box or a collection of gold. All details about the improvements are here in our Alpha preview. Since the game will also appear for all current consoles for the first time, Blizzard has also developed a completely new Gamepad control for the Remaster. This is how our impressions are surprisingly good, we have dedicated to the topic a separate special.
Early Entry: Open Beta starts soon
Pre-order of Diablo 2: Resurrected may already try multiplayer mode via battle.net this weekend, this time on PC and all consoles (except Nintendo Switch). Online may start up to eight players together. However, LAN mode via TCP / IP was deleted, it will not be included in the beta nor in the finished game. On the next weekend, all other interested parties are allowed to try the Open Beta for a weekend and play the multiplayer as pleasure and mood. The Open Beta will contain the first two file as well as five of the seven playable classes. All information about the Open Beta and the early enrollment for pre-orderers is here in our news, where you will also find the exact times and appointments.
Diablo 2: Resurrected appears on September 23, 2021 as a purely digital version for PC (Battle.net), PS4 / PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X and Nintendo Switch. All versions support cross-progression, which means: You can transfer your score over Battle.net to other platforms.
