In March, the Government of the Russian Federation actually legalized gray imports of goods in order to bypass sanctions by unfriendly countries. In May, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation published a list of goods that are allowed to import into the country without the consent of copyright holders. Recall that it also included Sony, Xbox and Nintendo consoles.
To date, the Russian government continues to work on setting up a parallel import mechanism. A bill was introduced into the Duma, insured by Russian companies from lawsuits by copyright holders, civil, administrative and criminal liability in the Russian Federation. If we speak an understandable language, then such activities (the supply of gray import) will not be considered a violation of the law.
