The worldwide chip and production capacity crisis has also difficult the graphics card market, so that playable bodies have enormously expanded. Especially below the newer GeForce 3000er and AMD 6000er models, the selection is very small, and the relative surcharges are particularly high. As now WCCFECTECH reports, NVIDIA has confirmed what was already circulating as a guess in experts.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 comes with 12 GB
Because the Team Green will launch a new edition of the GeForce RTX 2060, which offers 12 GB Graphic RAM. The built-in Turing-GPU works with 2176 shader units and Cuba Core and has a TDP of 185 watts. Thus, the new edition is more like the GeForce RTX 2060 great, because the latter also has 2176 shader units, the TED is similar.
The normal, old GeForce RTX 2060, however, has only 1920 shader units, the TDP is only 160 watts. With the clock values, the new GeForce RTX 2060 (12 GB) offers a boost clock of 1650 MHz, just like the GeForce RTX 2060 Super. The normal GeForce RTX 2060 clocks 30 MHz higher.
As a price for the new edition, 300 US dollars are in conversation, but market prices are likely to be significantly higher. The old GeForce RTX 2060 is still in the trade, not under 550 euros. The AMD Radon RX 6600, which is likely to be similarly strong or a small little faster than the GeForce RTX 2060 (12 GB), is not under 600 euros.
Even the slows slower GeForce GTX 1660er models cost all at least 500 euros. The amount of 12 GB high for the performance of the RTX 2060 is probably explained by the fact that designed either 6 or directly the double amount, so 12 GB make sense. 6 GB video RAMs are in the meantime for a graphics card, which can still be up-to-date games in higher details, too little.
Since RAM is currently not so strongly affected by the chip crisis, NVIDIA has probably decided to make the amount of 12 GB to make the card unattractive.
